NOVA WWCJ SAFELOCK Woodworm Screw for Cole Jaws fits into the NOVA Cole jaws. It is longer than the standard screw to allow it to protrude sufficiently beyond the jaw. The major advantage is the support the Cole jaws offer to the back of the blank, especially when turning larger diameter blanks. The strong thin edged thread form cuts into wood for maximum holding power. The threads are 2mm deep with a 7mm diameter core. The recommended pilot-hole diameter is 8mm. The screw has considerable holding power and it is sometimes difficult to unscrew, so wax or oil the thread before mounting the wood.
