The 40V max XGTA® Brushless 7-1/4" Metal Cutting Saw with Electric Brake and Chip Collector is a cordless solution for cutting common metal materials. The Makita-built brushless motor delivers up to two times faster cutting performance and up to 160 cuts per charge in 2-1/2" x 2-1/2' x 1/4" steel angle using a 40V max XGTA® 4.0Ah battery (battery sold separately). It is engineered with Active Feedback-Sensing Technology (AFTA®), a system that electronically turns off the motor if the rotation of the blade is suddenly forced to a stop. It has a large 2-5/8 cutting capacity that can handle various metal materials including pipe, stud, channel, strut, conduit, angle, square tubing, sheet metal, and more. It also has a built-in electric brake for maximum productivity.
