The Makita XDefence XGT® Communication Adapter (ADP13) is for use with XGT® equipment and tools (all sold separately) and is the key to unlock the XDefence Tool Management solution. XDefence allows users to code multiple functions to a fleet or a specific tool or battery including theft deterrence, notepad functions. Ownership information, battery timer setting, Tool and Battery Checker functions. Makita Tool Management software is required, which is free to download for PC and MAC compatible.

- PIN Code-protect over 10 tools or batteries in under 1 minute using Stand-Alone Mode
- User-owned information is fully controlled by user, however they want to manage. No cloud storage or data is collected
